A pharmaceutical filter press consists of a series of filter plates and frames arranged alternately and held tightly together within a supporting structure. Filter media (such as filter cloths or membranes) are placed between the plates. The liquid containing suspended solids (slurry) is pumped into the press under pressure.
As pressure builds, the liquid (filtrate) passes through the filter media and exits through designated outlets, while the solid particles are retained, forming a filter cake on the surface of the plates. The process continues until the chambers are filled and the desired clarity is achieved.

A Zero Hold Up Sparkler Filter Press is an advanced liquid filtration system specially designed to ensure minimal product loss and maximum recovery. Unlike conventional sparkler filters, this model is engineered to eliminate residual liquid hold-up inside the filter assembly, making it ideal for high-value and critical applications.
The system consists of multiple horizontal filter plates fitted with filter sheets and mounted on a central shaft. The liquid is pumped under pressure into the closed chamber, where suspended particles are retained on the filter media and clear filtrate exits through the outlet. The zero hold-up design ensures almost complete drainage of filtered liquid after the batch process
